A Skill bundles instructions and reference material your agent can reuse. Mekra’s Skill helps apply the method, inspect an existing setup, and explain how to keep the knowledge up to date.

A Skill is optional. Mekra Method itself is agent-independent.

Download Skill ZIP ↓
  1. Download the Skill ZIP and extract it. Keep the entire mekra-apply folder, including its references.
  2. Put that folder in .agents/skills/ inside your target repository. The resulting path should be .agents/skills/mekra-apply/SKILL.md.
  3. Open the repository in Codex. If the Skill does not appear, restart Codex. Select $mekra-apply and make your request.

For use across repositories, put the folder in ~/.agents/skills/ instead. On Windows, ~ is your user folder. Choose one installation location to avoid duplicate entries.

Try an inspection first

$mekra-apply Inspect this repository against Mekra Method. Do not change any files.

When you want to apply it

$mekra-apply Apply Mekra Method to this repository. Preserve existing canonical material and explain how to incorporate the next material.

The agent needs access to your material: read access for inspection and write access for application.

Try it in Claude Code

The package includes a Claude Code plugin. Its layout has been checked; execution in Claude has not yet been tested.

Download and extract the Plugin ZIP. From your target repository, run the command below, replacing the example path with the extracted mekra-method folder.

claude --plugin-dir /absolute/path/to/mekra-method

Then invoke /mekra-method:mekra-apply with your request. This loads the plugin for that session.

Other environments

ChatGPT and Claude web or desktop installation has not been verified for this alpha. Availability depends on your account and environment. This package has no marketplace listing yet.

What this alpha has verified

Packaging checks and Codex application and inspection trials passed. One natural-language inspection request also selected the Skill automatically and left the checked repository files unchanged. Broader selection reliability and long-term maintenance remain untested.

Updating or removing the Skill

Updates are manual. Save any local changes before replacing the installed folder with a newer package. To remove a standalone installation, delete only its mekra-apply folder; knowledge already created in your repository remains.

The package uses Apache-2.0, with CC0-1.0 for the bundled Method templates. License files and the pinned Method source record are included.
